Launched in 2017 and headquartered in the Latvian capital Riga, Fastuna automates research processes to help clients innovate rapidly. In December it launched a 'conversational agent' named Mia, allowing researchers to avoid 'arduous, emotionally demanding' traditional interviewing processes, and early this year it added AI-powered moderator Yasna ('pictured').
The tool can now generate a step-by-step screener from the criteria provided, for surveys using online panels, CRM systems, web sites, and mobile apps. The company says researchers 'worry about disengaged respondents, survey bots, and respondent fatigue impacting data quality', and believes Yasna addresses these challenges with open-ended screening questions without hints or cues, minimizing inauthentic responses.
Respondents who are screened out receive a personalized farewell message, which researchers can customise with a promo code, bonus or other message 'to maintain a positive experience'.
