Synthetic Data Firm Acutus AI Launches

Two former Cint and Lucid execs, Arindam Bhattacharya and Ankesh Saxena, have launched Acutus AI, a Synthetic Data as a Service (SDaaS) platform which they say will eliminate data and privacy bottlenecks, enhance AI model performance, and accelerate testing and deployment across industries.

Bhattacharya (pictured above) worked at Greenfield Online and Toluna before joining healthcare panel firm krea in 2011 - he spent three years here setting up and launching the India project management team for its client, Cint. From 2017 he worked for five years at Lucid, rising to Director, Marketplace Supply Partnerships, and on its acquisition by Cint moved to senior Supply Partnerships roles there. Saxena (pictured below) began his research career at Gallup, then spent more than seven years at Toluna and four as Business Development Manager, India for SSI. He also joined Lucid in 2017 and by May '22 had risen to Bus Dev Director for Cint in India. Since then he has worked in SVP roles at research firms Market Xcel and High Beam Global.

Their new firm, Acutus AI, uses advanced generative AI models to create 'high-fidelity' synthetic datasets, promising clients in predictive solutions 'without privacy risks, compliance hurdles or real-world data limitations'. Target sectors include other restech and MR firms, as well as logistics and supply chain, and healthcare.

CEO Bhattacharya says the company will allow clients to generate synthetic datasets that are 'as good as real - but without the risks', and adds: 'Our focus is on automation, scalability, and cost-effectiveness, ensuring businesses can go from 'What If?' to taking confident and informed decisions'.
