In Copenhagen, Kantar Media has announced the appointment of Danmarks Radio veteran Dennis Christensen as Managing Director for Denmark.Kantar Media, which is home to consumer tracker TGI and conducts broadcast audience measurement in 62 countries, including the UK, accounts for around 15% of Kantar's total revenue. The division is due to be sold this year to London-based alternative investment firm H.I.G. Capital for around $1 billion.
Christensen (pictured) spent seventeen years at national public service broadcaster Danmarks Radio, latterly as Head of Audience Research. Most recently, he worked at the Danish Media Association where he was Head of Analysis, contributing significantly to the radio measurement MOC, the NRS, and online measurement JIC.
In his new role, starting on 1st April, he takes responsibility for leading the firm's business in Denmark, including TGI, custom research, data collection services, advertising expenditure and radio audience measurement services.
