Cologne, Germany-based start-up experial has raised EUR 2 million in pre-Seed funding, with which to develop its AI-powered digital twins. The funds have already allowed the firm to bring in Dr. Nils Rethmeier as CTO.

experial was founded in 2022 by university academics Dr. Tobias Klinke and Nader Fadl, and uses machine learning and AI to create digital twins of clients' target audiences, simulating consumer behavior including purchasing decisions. Users can conduct real-time analysis to evaluate campaigns, assess new products and inform other business decisions.
New features in development include AI agents capable of interviewing and analysis; the addition of a validity score to check the accuracy of statements coming from digital twins; and new ways to analyse visual content in social media posts and ads. experial also says it is expanding its offer into the retail and financial services sectors.
The funding round was led by Capnamic, with support from xdeck and a number of angel investors, including Professor Bernd Schmitt from Columbia University.
