In London, Making Science has announced the launch of an AI-based concept evaluation, optimization and launch platform called AWAKE Venture Studio.
Making Science employs more than 1,200 people across eleven western European countries and four in LatAm, plus Georgia and the USA. Following the sale of its Cloud and Cybersecurity business unit three months ago, its focuses on three offerings: a digital ad agency integrating strategic planning, creative, data and technology; an AI and SaaS division employing more than 400 engineers and data scientists for the development of marketing-focused platforms and digital solutions; and an investment arm working with Ventis and TMQ. Last year it launched campaign performance analytics tool OptiPhi; and an AI tool called CreativeHub, promising to give marketers full control over creation, measurement, optimization and scaling of creative assets for advertising.
The new Studio includes AI Create, a trend monitoring and horizon scanning engine; and AI Forge, which takes the concepts thus validated and helps to build and scale them. The firm says the Studio 'prioritises opportunities where autonomous agents and foundational models provide a 10x competitive advantage, and taps operational hubs in Chicago, Madrid and Tbilisi.
The company says the launch follows and builds on its success using integrated AI internally, both to develop new features and to launch and accelerate start-ups. 'AWAKE is more than a venture studio; it is a declaration of intent to industrialise the next generation of AI-native solutions, says CEO and founder José Antonio Martínez Aguilar (pictured). 'We have already seen the impact of this model within our own walls. By establishing this repeatable engine, we are freeing entrepreneurial talent to focus relentlessly on scale. Whether we are forging a new internal tool or a global startup, Making Science's expertise in data and AI is the backbone of that evolution.'
