Launch for New International Agency UKS Insights

May 12 2026

Former Hansa Research Head of International Umesh Kumar has launched UKS Insights, a specialist MR agency headquartered in India and specializing in complex, underpenetrated and hard-to-reach markets.

Umesh KumarKumar (pictured) worked at TNS, Nielsen and Markelytics Solutions before joining Hansa Research Group in Mumbai in 2009 as Head of the International Research Division - he led this practice for more than seventeen years, and also served as an ESOMAR Council member for six years. He was recently honored as an Insight250 'Legend' in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the profession.

His new venture, with an initial team of six members, draws on this experience of managing large-scale, multi-country, and highly complex research programs across industries and geographies. Kumar has also developed a network of international field contacts which allows for 'seamless' execution across developed, emerging, and hard-to-reach markets. UKS promises to combine global research rigor with deep local market expertise, and uncover actionable insights, including 'critical social and cultural nuances' that shape strategic business decisions.

'UKS Insights was established to provide international clients with reliable, high-quality research support and strategic insights,' says Kumar, 'particularly in markets that are often difficult to access and understand. Our goal is to combine methodological rigor, operational excellence, and deep local understanding to help clients make better business decisions with confidence.'
