Rep Data Buys Survey Programming Company OWL

May 27 2026

Data quality specialist Rep Data has announced another acquisition - this time OWL Solutions, a survey programming company which supports fieldwork in healthcare and other sectors, often with complex builds.

Michael WildtOWL brings deep expertise in a wide range of areas: complex skip logic, quota paths, randomization, piping, sample routing, respondent validation, device requirements, language versions, redirects, terminates, partials and data structure.

Rep Data says the buy supports its broader strategy of building a more connected research workflow spanning sample, fraud prevention, survey programming and analytics. The firm has been acquisitive of late, and in addition to OWL its ecosystem now includes Research Defender, ReDem, Research Desk and SightX, between them promising research teams help in managing execution, data quality and fieldwork operations within a more integrated environment.

According to Rep Data CEO and founder Patrick Stokes, 'A well-programmed survey leads to better research outcomes. When programming issues occur, they create downstream errors, rework and delays that impact the entire project lifecycle. OWL Programming brings deep operational survey programming expertise to Rep Data.'

Michael Wildt (pictured), President of OWL, says the company has focused since the start on 'making the operational side of research easier, faster, and more precise for clients.' He comments: 'Joining Rep Data allows us to bring that same commitment to quality and responsiveness into a broader research infrastructure built around trusted sample, fraud prevention and end-to-end execution.'
