eMedia Monitor Hires VP, Americas

eMedia Monitor (eMM), which provides real-time tracking of radio, TV and online video and audio, has hired senior PR and marketing tech executive Larry Thomas as Vice President, Americas.

Founded in Vienna, Austria in 2007, the company has built a US network of television, radio and podcast monitoring across all 210 DMAs and 50 states, and is now looking to expand its business operations in North and South America. eMM currently monitors some 1,811 television and radio channels and 55,800 podcasts in the US, and 4,500+ broadcast channels and 130,000+ podcasts worldwide, 24 hours a day.

Thomas (pictured) brings more than two decades of experience building and scaling media intelligence and PR technology businesses in the US, and joins from UNICEPTA, now part of Stagwell, where he led US business development. Earlier he led sales for Talkwalker, prior to its acquisition by Hootsuite, and for Bulletin Intelligence both before and after its acquisition by Cision. Earlier in his career he was a founding executive and President of PR firm MultiVu, and COO of Medialink Worldwide.

In his new role, he will lead eMM's growth strategy across the Americas, sharpening its focus on deep, local-market coverage across the US and building its client base among the country's communications and data analytics professionals.

eMM founder and CEO Thomas Netousek comments: 'Larry has built U.S. operations for some of the most respected names in media intelligence, and he has a proven track record of turning that groundwork into lasting growth. Bringing that experience in-house is a significant step in our US strategy, and we're thrilled to have him leading it.'
