A new company has been launched to assess the market share of German-language services, including social networks; national news portals; and women's, cinema and health web sites.Webmarket-today has been founded by Dirk Otto and Christoph Wein, who previously held senior positions in market research, sales and media companies.
Their new firm will collect data from online markets, and combine this with advertising data to measure trends on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
As well as gathering online market data, the Munich-based firm offers consulting services ranging from the conception, creation and delivery of customised reports, to advice on all aspects of online marketing.
'Conventional measurement - such as page impressions, number of visits or online experience - is not sufficient to gain a holistic view,' said Otto. 'Webmarket-today will offer an entirely new perspective on the evaluation of online German-speaking markets.'
