Former Research International (RI) CEO Marc Papanicola has been appointed Managing Director of Synovate France, based in Paris.Established in 1977, Synovate France has around 90 full-time employees. With focus group facilities in Paris and Lyon, it provides full-service market research and specialises in consumer psychology research through its Censydiam business.
It works across a number of sectors including B2B, B2C, consumer and luxury goods, health and beauty, retail, IT/telecoms, financial services, automotive and healthcare.
Papanicola joins with a 12 year background in the market research industry. He began his career as an Account Director with BVA, after which he joined Ipsos Loyalty France as Deputy General Manager. In 2005, he became Department Director at RI, prior to his promotion to CEO of RI France in 2007.
Following the acquisition of TNS by WPP in late 2008, TNS and RI merged, and in France, re-branded as TNS Sofres. Before his departure from the firm, Papanicola was a Board Director at TNS Sofres.
