In the US, global research firm ORC has helped develop a program to offer jobs to people with disabilities looking to work from home.Working with the City of South Sioux City and the Nebraska Vocational Rehabilitation (NVR) - under the Department of Education - ORC is seeking four to eight people with disabilities to pilot the program.
Those selected will conduct research and interviews by phone, while also entering research data, for an initial period of 20 hours per week for up to six months.
ORC and NVR will provide a two-day training session to kick-start the initiative.
NVR Director Mark Schultz commented: 'We are both pleased and excited that ORC and the South Sioux City Economic Development Department are reaching out to Nebraskans with disabilities to create this unique partnership.'
