In the US, the Shot Spirits Corporation has launched a hospitality industry tool which provides market level competitive benchmarking information for restaurants, bars and hotels.The firm's existing GuestMetrics software - which was acquired by UK-based GuestTek last year - collects data from such establishments daily. It can be integrated with point-of-sale systems, and uses data mining to provide alcohol and food suppliers with insight into consumer behaviour.
The new MarketMetrics solution can be used to produce detailed analytics on customer spend, traffic levels and average selling prices of beverage alcohol products.
'This product was built at the request of our growing client base,' stated CEO Brian Barrett. 'Through our data collection process we are the only company today that has the ability to provide this solution and we are happy to get it in the hands of our clients.'
