In the US, customer listening specialist Overtone has launched a social media analytics application called 'OpenMic GameVoice Interactive', which measures sentiment and extracts insights from consumer-generated text in video game communities.Overtone's OpenMic technology collects, analyzes, and reports on insights derived from multiple channels of customer interaction including social media, e-mails, text messages, voice-to-text comments, web forms and surveys.
The firm's new GameVoice suite uses a text analytics engine to continuously monitor and analyze online consumer discussions about 300+ video games, top consoles, genres, publishers and retailers, from the most popular social media video game communities.
It also provides analysis of specific game titles, and custom report creation using its own social media database.
'We have spent months compiling data on millions of conversations from popular social media video game communities, to give video game industry professionals insight regarding what their consumers care most about,' says GameVoice Product Manager, Michelle Mathis.
