The Futures Company has hired two Senior Vice Presidents in the US: Steve Levine as SVP, Future-Facing Research & Consultancy and Christine Baskin as SVP, Research & Consulting.
The WPP-owned global trend research consultancy was created through the merger of Henley Centre HeadlightVision and Yankelovich and specializes in futures and trends, future-facing research and innovation, and segmentation, quantitative analysis and modelling.
The firm, which has offices in London, Raleigh, New York, Mumbai and Delhi, recently appointed a new management team following the resignations of its CEO, Executive Chairman and Global MD.
Levine joins to head up the Future-Facing Quantitative Practice, which combines insights and custom surveys for consulting around consumer, category, brand and company futures.
He has more than twenty years' experience - both as a research client and supplier in product management, marketing research and business development. During his career, he spent more than twelve years at GlaxoSmithKline as Senior Director of Marketing, before which he held marketing research positions at Vistakon (a division of Johnson & Johnson), and at Abbott Laboratories. He started his career as a research scientist at biotechnology company Hybritech.
'Steve stands out as the sort of leader who can build a practice to consistently deliver strategic insights that bring value to clients. We are very pleased to welcome him to The Futures Company,' says Kevin Brown, recently promoted CEO, North America.
Baskin also joins the firm's Future-Facing Quantitative Practice, having previously spent more than 20 years with Yankelovich. During her career, she has held senior positions and led practice groups at BioVid, TNS Healthcare, and Knowledge Networks. Most recently, she oversaw the establishment of the Marketing Research Practice for the Quantitative Solutions Group at CRM agency Merkle.
'Christine's wealth of experience in segmentation, communications, forecasting and insights as well as her special strengths in managing and growing client relationships will be crucial to our success in the future. We are very excited that she is returning to our team,' adds Brown.
