In the UK, market research consultancy Touchstone Partners has reported 47% organic growth in the last financial year, with pre-tax profit rising by 55%. To support this growth, the firm is moving to new offices in central Oxford.Launched six years ago by former AC Nielsen colleagues Tim Baker and Jon Darby, the company offers a full range of services including quant, qual, desk research, international, ad hoc and continuous.
The pair describe their firm as 'methodology-neutral', bringing together custom teams for each new project so as to focus on design, analysis and interpretation.
Last year's growth was driven by consultancy, shopper research, segmentation, opportunity evaluation, market testing & forecasting and development of the Touchstone 360 online platform. The latter is used to build large-scale online community projects and uses both quant and qual methodologies among the same respondents, to help clients understand behaviour, attitudes and links between the two.
Along with the move to a city centre location in Oxford, Touchstone is planning a recruitment programme.
'Our business model revolves around building great teams for every project, and we work with best in class suppliers across the industry to ensure we do this every time,' explains MD Jon Darby. 'Now, the time is right to expand our own research resource to match the consistent increase in demand.'
