Washington, DC-based polling firm Greenberg Quinlan Rosner has opened its first European office in London, managed by Labour Party Leader Ed Milliband's former speechwriter, James Morris. The company specializes in using data and research to inform communications strategies - whether for presidents of countries or presidents of corporations. Last year, the company opened an office in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Before working as a speechwriter for Milliband, Morris was a Research Fellow at the Institute for Public Policy Research. He began his career in public policy at the Prime Minister's Strategy Unit.
In his new role as Vice President and Director of the European Office, Morris will utilise his quant and qual research skills to run projects for corporate, political and not-for-profit clients. He will also work in partnership with PR and public affairs companies.
'Companies pre-test their advertising as standard, but too rarely rigorously test PR or public affairs campaigns before they go live,' states Morris. 'Our research approach, which plays out the back and forth of a communications battle, allows clients to form better strategies and get the edge they need to win.'
