WPP-owned global trend research consultancy The Futures Company (TFC) is relocating Lloyd Burdett to its New York office, where he will take up the position of Head of Consulting in the US.
TFC was created through the merger of Henley Centre HeadlightVision and Yankelovich in 2008. London, North Carolina, New York, Buenos Aires and Mexico City, the firm specializes in futures and trends, innovation and modelling.
Burdett joined eight years ago, since when he has led consulting teams in both the UK and US. He returns to the US having previously spent two years in New York leading the Global Insight and Futures Consulting team. Before this, he led TFC's Global Trends and Futures practice, including development of the firm's Global MONITOR, which provides a perspective on consumer attitudes and trends worldwide.
During his time with the firm, he has also developed a number of proprietary tools, techniques and processes that combine quant and qual research with trends, sector, category and brand insight.
Burdett's move to the US is part of The Futures Company's expansion in North America announced earlier this year. He comments: 'These are exciting times for our business and I am really looking forward to being at the forefront of the next generation of The Futures Company's consulting business here in North America'.
