In the US, ad agency AKQA has appointed Lynn Teo as Creative Director and Head of User Experience, to direct and manage creative teams while leading the firm's user experience center.AKQA is a creative agency specializing in interactive marketing services such as e-commerce; media, search and analytics; interface design; and content creation and distribution. The firm has operations in London, San Francisco, New York, Washington DC, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Shanghai, and employs around 800 full-time staff.
Teo joins with around 15 years' industry experience. Most recently, she served as Creative Director and Director of User Experience at interactive marketing agency SapientNitro. Earlier in her career, she spent more than five years at Bell Communications Research, where she gained user experience design skills in the Bell Labs usability center.
In her new role, she will report to Chief Creative Officer, Rei Inamoto, and be based in the agency's New York office.
'Lynn's background in user experience and product design compliments AKQA's talented team,' states Inamoto. 'Her perspective will ensure that we continue to deliver user experience that is useful, usable and delightful for our clients, while her appointment will further strengthen our creative team's approach to design strategy.'
