Synovate parent Aegis has acquired South African web and consumer behaviour agency Clickthinking, which specialises in search, web analytics and conversion marketing. Terms were not disclosed.Clickthinking, which was established in 1999, uses proprietary methodologies and tools to enable brands to identify and convert potential prospects into customers, using a variety of Internet and mobile technologies. Last year, the company had gross assets of R7.1m.
As part of the deal, Clickthinking will become part of Aegis-owned digital search and performance network iProspect.
'Clickthinking not only has the regional expertise and cultural understanding, but the technology prowess to provide South African clients with world-class digital marketing strategies,' states iProspect Global CEO Robert Murray. 'Its addition to the iProspect portfolio, with its keen eye on customer understanding and conversions, will enable faster expansion across the region, and will offer key expertise for our globally-reaching client campaigns.'
Peter Stewart, co-founder and MD of Clickthinking, said the partnership would provide existing and new clients with a 'greater breadth' of in-depth search and conversion marketing expertise.
