Consumer insight and sensory specialist MMR Research Worldwide has appointed nine new recruits for its UK and US operations, since the start of the year.
The new appointments include two director-level positions, three research managers and two trainee survey creators at its Oxfordshire operation, as well as a sensory panel leader for its New Jersey office. In addition, specialist healthcare division HRW has recruited a senior research manager.
Ian Horritt (pictured) joins as Qualitative Director, with 12 years of experience from working as a Research Director at Illuminas and TNS, where he focused on retail and shopper research and ethnography.
Frances Pirie (pictured), who takes up the post of Associate Director, most recently worked as Associate Research Director at the Business Advantage Group. During her career she has worked in Japan, Hawaii, the US, and UK for ACNielsen, OmniTrak, Clayton Reed Associates, Added Value and Boxbreaker Intelligence.
Rob Hack joins as Research Manager with more than 10 years' experience, having previously worked at the Audit Commission, ECOTEC and the CSR Partnership.
Originally from New Zealand, new Research Manger Anna O'Connell previously worked with Hall & Partners, where she specialised in brand and communications research.
Also joining as a Research Manager, Nick Chancellor started his career at BMRB, before joining Research International in Canada. Most recently, he was a Senior Research Manager in the public affairs division of Ipsos (Toronto).
Ronita Ghatak has taken on the role of MMR's Sensory Panel Leader, based in the firm's New Jersey office. She previously worked for PepsiCola as a Senior Scientist, and has spent the past year at Hunter College in New York, where she set up the sensory lab.
In addition, maths graduates Helen Torrens-Burton and Bridget Chatley have joined as Trainee Survey Creators.
Finally, in the firm's specialist healthcare division HRW, Paul Tinworth has joined as Senior Research Manager, from Maven Research, where he managed a team focused on customer and employee satisfaction studies. His began his eight year market research career at Harris Interactive, where he worked on a variety of B2B and B2C studies for clients in the technology sector.
