iPinion, the smartphone survey solutions provider set up last year by market research firm Dexterity, has released a new platform for Android users.
iPinion offers an app which enables panellists to participate in surveys, in-store and ethnography studies and mystery shops, from their iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices. The firm began by building a panel of iPhone/iPod Touch users, and through a partner network can now offer access to more than one million potential smartphone survey participants.
The new 'iPinion for Android' app offers 'image interaction' questions, and runs on all Android OS.2.x devices, which the firm says covers more than 87% of the global Android user base.
iPinion founder and CEO Pala Kuppusamy says the app features a variety of image interaction question types suited for researchers working on such studies as copy testing for advertising, perception mapping and concept testing.
The firm has also announced plans to release Apps for Blackberry OS in March 2011, and for Microsoft Mobile OS and Symbian OS by June 2011.
