WorldOne, the international specialist in healthcare data collection, has announced the opening of an office in Mexico City, and appointed Roberto Varillas, co-founder of Acertiva, as MD for the country.The move boosts the firm's capabilities in Mexico, where it already has a 33,000 strong healthcare panel. The company recently extended its office in London and also has bases in the US, Brazil, Hong Kong, Japan, Spain and Lithuania.
Before co-founding Acertiva, Varillas worked for GlaxoSmithKline and Novartis, giving him knowledge and experience are 'unique in the Latin market' according to WorldOne CEO Peter Kirk. Kirk adds: 'Our international scope combined with local expertise offers clients a strategic advantage for executing the industry's most challenging studies. Demand for healthcare research in Mexico has increased steadily over the last several years. It's an important market for us and the industry.'
