India's Star TV has added its 75,000-member panel - managed by Indian online research firm Nepa - to Cint's Panel Exchange (CPX).The move brings Cint's total number of panellists in India to 178,000.
The CPX offers a marketplace which provides research buyers with access to more than five million consumers in 40+ countries via panel owners who make their sample available but retain full ownership of them.
Star TV reaches 400 million Indians every week, through 33 channels in seven languages.
The panel includes profiles across the auto, food and beverage, hobbies and interests, electronics, travel and healthcare sectors, as well as socio-economic classification (SEC).
'With our wide network of channels and web sites, Nepa has helped us to create a large panel with members from all over the country,' explains Star TV's SVP Consumer Insights, Anand Shiv (pictured). 'The panel allows us to conduct large scale market research projects, even to niche segments.'
Richard Thornton, Cint's Global Commercial Director, says the firm is 'thrilled' with Star TV's decision.
