Canadian agency Leger Marketing has opened a division providing consultancy in advanced statistics and modelling, Leger Analytics. Former Millward Brown CEO Chuck Chakrapani, currently President of Leger Marketing's Toronto office, will lead the unit.
Founded in 1986, market research agency Leger Marketing has more than 500 employees and a web panel of over 355,000 respondents. The firm is also the North American partner of international MR group Worldwide Independent Network (WIN), for which Leger Analytics will provide advanced analysis expertise.
Chakrapani (pictured) is past President of the Professional Marketing Research Society (now Marketing Research and Intelligence Association), and previously worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Commercial Activity, where he now serves as the Industry Advisor. Prior to that, he was the CEO of Millward Brown Canada.
He will be joined at Leger Analytics by Hemant Sangwan, who takes on the role of Knowledge Officer.
'Drs. Chakrapani and Sangwan will give us the in-house consulting power that allows us to look at research results in a way that brings more insights to them,' states Léger. 'Incorporating more advanced analytics into our consulting practice allows us to focus on our clients' business objectives and provide the strategic insight they need in a much more powerful way.'
