Webtrends has acquired real-time analytics platform Reinvigorate from investment firm (mt) Media Temple Ventures, in a move which it says will 'round out' its analytics portfolio. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Reinvigorate solution, created in 2002 by Sean McNamara but officially launched just a year ago, offers users insight into their audience in real-time. Once a user has logged on, the service displays the number of currently active visitors on their pages, with a graph of a user's site traffic over the past few hours.
It also provides daily and monthly visitor counts, bounce rates and a breakdown of page metrics; plus heat maps, link maps and path analysis, which allow the user to see exactly where their site visitors are clicking.
Webtrends says the acquisition will make it the 'first analytics company' to offer real-time and historical analytics for mobile, social and web channels.
'With the acquisition of Reinvigorate, and the addition of real-time analytics capabilities to our portfolio, we are once again leading the pack in breadth of product,' boasts Webtrends CEO Alex Yoder. 'In addition, we're adding a talented team led by Sean McNamara that has rich experience in digital analytics and product development.'
