In the US, in-store monitoring specialist BVI Networks has closed an $8m funding round, which it will use to support further development of its analytics technology.BVI's flagship product RetailNEXT collects, analyzes and presents data - such as traffic patterns, dwell times and point-of-purchase activity - via a web-based dashboard. Retailers receive traffic data down to the level of specific aisles, shelves or displays in order to understand which areas attract shoppers and sell products.
The new funding has been led by August Capital with participation from existing investors.
'Our partnership with August Capital will enable us to support our expanding customer base and remain the most innovative in-store analytics company,' states BVI Networks co-founder and CEO Alexei Agratchev. 'It will also give us access to August Capital's vast knowledgebase and experience in building some of the most successful technology companies in the world.'
