In the UK, international specialist River Research has reported a £1m increase in sales to c.£2.5m for the last 12 months. The firm says it is also considering expanding overseas, with the US being the most likely location.River, founded by former Illuminas trio Julian Kenway, Joe Brown and Nick Cornish, specialises in international brand, FMCG, child and youth, and retail research.
Last year, the company moved to new custom-designed premises in Soho, London, following an increase in headcount. It has since increased staff numbers further, to 14, and opened its own purpose-built viewing and usability studio in Soho.
Brown says growth has come from a variety of sectors and new and existing clients, and adds:'Getting the new office and studio up and running has been a lot of fun and we're now looking to overseas expansion - most likely the US - as the next big step.'
