Fast-growing innovation technology firm Affinnova has announced three senior promotions. Lang Leonard adds the title of COO to that of CFO; Amit Dhand becomes EVP heading the Global Client Services team; and Kevin Karty becomes VP of Analytics.
Affinnova's patented technology helps clients to identify concepts with the greatest market potential, and then measure them against benchmark and competitor products. The company recently announced sales growth of 44% for the year to the end of June 2011, led by rapid growth in European operations. President and CEO Waleed Al-Atraqchi said this success was driven by the firm's second-generation innovation platform IDDEA II.
Leonard has fifteen years' experience of financial leadership in public and private companies, and joined Affinnova as CFO in 2008. To this role he now adds responsibility for the company's finances, HR, legal issues and operations. He worked most recently at software maker Ipswitch, and formerly at RSA Security, Solectron Corporation and PricewaterhouseCoopers. His achievements include a BA Cum Laude in Economics from Colgate University, an MBA with Honors from Boston University School of Management and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
Dhand, joined the company in 2006 and as SVP has led 'dramatic' sales growth in both North America and Europe. A graduate of the University of Mumbai with an MBA from Virginia Tech, he worked previously at Catalina Marketing and Information Resources, Inc. (IRI).
Karty, who until now worked in Product Innovation and was awarded a preference prediction patent last month, joined the company in 2002. He is a graduate of Brandeis University and earned a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
