In Canada, mobile marketing platform Sitomic.com has launched a new solution called QR Code Manager, which will gather visitor statistics resulting from printed ad campaigns and analyze them across multiple publications.According to comScore, in December 2011, 1 in 5 US smartphone owners scanned a QR code with their phone.
Through the new solution, a unique QR code is created for each type of ad - whether for a magazine, feature, poster or business card. The tool then collects data about smartphone owners who have scanned a printed QR code on their phone, and organizes this data into an analytics table to enable clients to track ROI for each campaign.
