Foolproof Promotes Fountain to MD

In the UK, user experience (UX) design specialist Foolproof has appointed Leslie Fountain to the post of Managing Director. Fountain has served as Experience Design Director with the company since last year.

The company was founded in 2002 by Peter Ballard and Tom Wood, who remain joint Shareholders and who will focus more on business development, leaving Fountain to head up the current management team.

Fountain has over fifteen years of experience in human factors application, with skills in user-centred design, UX research, usability and accessibility. Prior to joining Foolproof she was joint Managing Director at usability and accessibility consultancy System Concepts.

Of the co-founders' new roles, Ballard added: 'It's time to play to our strengths as Founders in pursuing new strategic initiatives. Leslie's depth and breadth of experience managing teams of UX specialists means we'll be putting the day-to-day running of Foolproof in the safest of hands.'
