UX Specialist AnswerLab Opens in New York

US-based user experience firm AnswerLab has opened of an office in New York, from which it will serve clients on the East Coast.

Based in San Francisco, the firm focuses exclusively on user experience research, seeking to understand what people see, do, think, and feel when using web sites, mobile apps, and other digital products. Its methods include usability testing, ethnography, mobile testing, focus groups, intercept surveys and quant user experience evaluations.

The new office in Manhattan's Flatiron district will give clients access to a team of local user researchers.

CEO and co-founder Amy Buckner Chowdhry (pictured) comments: 'New York is home to world-class agencies, is the financial services center of the country with easy access to major pharmaceutical companies, and there is also a thriving community of digital entrepreneurs here in Silicon Alley. Separately, the firm has appointed Pat Fleck as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Most recently, he held the same title at insurance firm Sitzmann Morris & Lavis, prior to which he was President of design consulting firm Cooper, and CFO for several Chase Manhattan companies.
