Asian agency ABN Research has opened an office in Hong Kong, from which it plans to expand beyond the FMCG and white good sectors to supporting service industries such as finance and telecoms. The firm has also been re-named as 'ABN Impact'.
Launched in 2010 by former RI veteran Brook Courtenay and former Synovate leader Maz Amirahmadi, the agency offers analysis of Asian consumers from its base in Bangkok in Thailand.
The new office in Hong Kong will focus on providing collaborative and co-creative services to help brands develop closer relationships with their customers. The operation is led by MD Scott Lee (pictured), who joined the company in April from Cimigo. Prior to this, he held senior roles at Synovate, Pegram Walters and Ipsos.
Amirahmadi says the rebrand will provide a new focus on collaborative research as an integrated marketing strategy for clients.
