Online research software and solutions provider Confirmit has acquired the CustomerSat enterprise feedback management software business - previously owned by MarketTools - from investment house TPG Growth. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
MarketTools bought the CustomerSat business in 2008 while developing a new Customer Insight Management division. TPG Growth, which recently acquired MarketTools through a deal with DIY software firm SurveyMonkey, has now sold on the CustomerSat business to Confirmit.
In a statement, Confirmit said that the combination of its Horizons platform and Confirmit Voices model with CustomerSat will expand its footprint, particularly in the US where its claims that 'Voice of Customer' (VoC) programmes are becoming a 'critical part' of business strategy.
President and CEO Henning Hansen (pictured) comments: 'Confirmit and CustomerSat have similar corporate cultures and a shared passion for building industry leading business solutions. This acquisition puts Confirmit in an extremely strong position to solve customer VoC and market research challenges for organisations across a wide range of industries.'
Lynn Christensen, Chief Development Officer at CustomerSat says the move will enable both companies to grow at a pace which would not have been possible for them individually.
As a result of the acquisition, Confirmit now employs more than 350 people across 11 offices.
