IgnitionOne - the digital marketing technology arm of Japanese advertising giant Dentsu - has opened an office in São Paulo, Brazil, where it has appointed industry veteran Edmardo Galli as Managing Director.IgnitionOne focuses on helping clients to integrate their cross-channel marketing initiatives, and has recently added solutions for planning, buying and measuring online ads via the acquisition of ad exchange AdJug and the launch of an Engagement Optimisation tool.
Of the latest expansion, CEO Will Margiloff comments: 'As digital marketing is blossoming in Brazil, there is a real opportunity to bypass the challenges to integration and simplification facing the US and Europe. Brazil is a true hotbed of creativity and innovation, which makes expanding our presence there such an amazing fit.'
Galli (pictured) was the co-founder in 1996 of agency 10'Minutos Interactive, which was sold to Ogilvy & Mather and became Ogilvy Interactive. Earlier in his career, he was the General Manager for Latin American operations for sports site Umbro.com, and President Brazil of Todosport Network. He is currently a Partner in a seed-investment business called Grupo Galli Participações, which specializes in funding digital media-focused startups.
