Travel operator Thomas Cook has hired former confused.com CMO Mike Hoban for its new position of Director of Marketing, Brand and Customer Insight in the UK and Ireland, responsible for all marketing across the firm's brands as well as its customer insight and research.
Hoban (pictured) joins from confused.com, where he spent the last two years as Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to this, he served as Communications & Engagement Director at Directgov, Marketing Director at Scottish Widows, Head of Customer & Brand at Barclaycard, and Head of Brand & Insight at British Airways. Earlier in his career, Hoban also held senior marketing and insight roles with WH Smith, Granada Boxclever, and The Spirit Group (formerly Scottish & Newcastle Retail).
