US-based Gongos Research is making two of its proprietary research platforms, iCommunities and ConsumerView Online Qualitative, available for licensed use by other research firms.
The company says the decision 'stems from a commitment to foster innovation that embraces both methodological and technological advancement' - in this case by helping independents and other MR firms to efficiently integrate digital platforms into their offering. According to Principal Christi Walters, 'Many full-service research providers don't have the developmental resources to create and maintain their own platforms - yet today's industry challenges researchers to make sense of technologies that are redefining marketing research and becoming the new norm.'
iCommunities partners will get a range of options from highly targeted, short-term engagements to large-scale 'metaCommunities', while ConsumerView includes virtual focus groups, live chats, video diaries and journals. Partners will also have proprietary access to iCommunities mobile and SmartFly live mobile ethnography, as well as front-end training, technical support and consulting services.
