The founders of behaviorally-targeted shopping app Pickie have raised $1m in venture funding, which they plan to use to fuel international expansion.Pickie, which was co-founded earlier this year by former Amazon product manager Sonia Sahney Nagar (pictured), Abhijit Rao and Ryan Weber, is a shopping app described as part magazine and part catalog. Users choose their favourite stores and brands, and the app then displays relevant trending content.
Each Pickie user gets a customized experience that takes into account their personal style and favorite brands from across their favorite retailers and social feeds. Pickie also accesses users' social networks to see what items their friends are talking about. All the products featured on Pickie are available to buy.
Sahney Nagar says she and her team are 'thrilled' to have the support of the investors.
