Media, events and research company IDG has promoted Matthew Yorke to CEO of its services division IDG Global Solutions (IGS).Founded in 1964, IDG (International Data Group ) employs more than 1,000 analysts who provide global, regional and local expertise on technology trends across more than 110 countries.
Yorke (pictured) joined the group in the UK in 1999 and moved to the US five years later to become an exec in IDG Corporate Sales. For the past two years, he has served as President of IGS, which offers access to a network of more than 460 technology-related web sites, and provides a stream of real-time information and analysis.
IDG Communications CEO Bob Carrigan says IGS has become one of the company's largest revenue producing business units under Yorke's leadership.
