US-based speech analytics specialist CallMiner has raised $9.6m of an anticipated $12.1m round of funding, according to an SEC filing.Founded in 2002, CallMiner provides software called Eureka which automates the process of extracting information from customer calls to contact centers.
Prior to its most recent investment, the firm previously raised a total of around $24m, from investors In-Q-Tel, Sigma Partners, Intersouth Partners, Inflexion Partners and Village Ventures.
The company, which has offices in Waltham, MA, Fort Myers, FL and Nottingham, UK, is led by President and CEO Terry Leahy (pictured).
