In Berlin, online search and social analytics company Searchmetrics has acquired search engine technology and web analytics company W3 Solutions, in a move to expand its range of products and services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.Searchmetrics, which also has offices in London, Paris and New York, offers software which aggregates and evaluates large quantities of data covering web site rankings, keywords and relevant competitor groups.
Founder and CTO Marcus Tober (pictured) says that W3 Solutions' SiteSearch search engine represents 'a valuable addition' to Searchmetrics' range of services, while its W3 Statistics tool provides analysis of Internet users' surfing habits.
Tober, who will take over the management of W3 Solutions as CEO, adds: 'Thanks to the combined power of the software, we are able to enhance our clients' visibility and performance on the Internet, the mobile web, and social media to support their success on the net. I am already looking forward to the exciting new projects in store for me at W3 Solutions, and our team is ready to tackle any challenge.'
