Social media analytics firm Dachis Group has raised $7.5m in Series C funding, which it will use to accelerate the development of its core platform, and meet increased demand for its solutions.Dachis says it tracks, monitors and helps manage conversations and content across 35,000 brands, 100 million social accounts, and an aggregate audience of 7 billion followers, fans, subscribers and contributors. In addition, the firm offers an Advocate Insight tool which helps identify and activate a brand's most passionate fans, and an employee advocate identification tool called Employee Insight.
The new funding has been led by Austin Ventures. Dachis founder, CEO and Chairman Jeffrey Dachis (pictured) says the money will enable his firm to better meet the growing needs of its customers 'who all share our belief that data driven social marketing is modern marketing's future'.
