Palo Alto and Bangalore-based big data analytics specialist Qubole has closed a Series A funding round, which brings its total investment to $7m.Founded in 2011 by Ashish Thusoo and Joydeep Sen Sarma, who previously built and ran Facebook's analytics platform, Qubole is developing a cloud platform for big data analysis. The latest funding comes from Charles River Ventures and Lightspeed Ventures, with angel investment from Venky Harinarayan and Anand Rajaram.
Thusoo comments: 'We have reached a critical point where our model has been validated by customers and investors alike. We are very excited to raise the bar again as we continue to innovate on behalf of our users.'
