Cvent Opens First European Office in London

US web-based software developer Cvent has opened an office in London, from which it will support its existing client base in Europe and continue to expand the business internationally.

As well as web survey technology, Cvent offers web-based software for meeting site selection, online event registration, event management and e-mail marketing. Back in 2011, the firm raised $136m for technology developments, including enhancements to its cloud-based web survey products.

The new office will be led by Brian Pirkle, who has held sales roles at Cvent in the US since joining in 2006. He comments: 'Investing in Europe by opening a London office and hiring a dedicated team to reach more organizers and expand our roster of suppliers will position us to seize the enormous growth opportunity the market presents.'
