US shopper analytics specialist Euclid has appointed ShopperTrak co-founder Tad Shepperd as Senior Vice President, responsible for driving sales and overseeing New York-based teams of sales execs, client services managers and analysts.
Launched in 2010 by the execs behind Urchin (the firm later sold to Google which became Google Analytics), Euclid delivers shopper insights to bricks-and-mortar retailers. In January, the firm introduced an off-line shopper analytics package called Euclid Zero, then in February closed a $17.3m round of financing, which it is using to service its customer base.
Shopping intelligence specialist Shepperd (pictured) joins from retail performance consultancy Claris Solutions, where he served as a Partner for the past three years. Prior to this, he was Principal at workforce management consultancy Axsium, and VP of US Retail Group at retail and banking technology solutions provider Wincor Nixdorf. In 1995, he helped set up pedestrian traffic counting solutions firm ShopperTrak, which recently bought Helsinki-based retail data and analytics firm RapidBlue Solutions Oy.
In his new role, Shepperd will be working on strategic initiatives with Euclid CEO Will Smith, who comments: 'Euclid is committed to helping 'main street' compete more effectively with online retailers. Tad's vision and experience will be key to achieving this goal as Euclid continues to expand.'
