Foviance co-founder Paul Blunden has set up a firm called Usability247, to provide 24-7 multi-platform user experience research and usability testing services to clients around the world.
Blunden (pictured) co-founded usability, user experience and web analytics consultancy Foviance (now Seren) in 2001, having previously held senior sales management roles with Unisys and Orion Media Marketing. More recently, he has worked as an advisor for user experience agency Spotless Interactive, and for talent retention and customer loyalty specialist Engage Group.
Based in Maidenhead, Berkshire, Usability247 will offer three methodologies: an expert review incorporating video sessions; lab usability testing; and online testing combining task testing with a survey among a representative sample of users.
Commenting on the launch, Blunden said: 'We are very excited to launch this business which will revolutionise the way customers can access key usability testing and research services. Usability is still lacking in too many products and interfaces due not only to the complexity in the technology and resulting change in user behaviour but also because clients can't access services when they are needed. This is Usability247's unique advantage.'
