Census Bureau Launches District-Level Stats App

The US Census Bureau has launched an interactive tool to help users find basic demographic and economic statistics for every congressional district in the US.

The new 'My Congressional District' web app uses the latest annual statistics from the American Community Survey, which provides a wide range of data about people and housing for every community across the US. App users select a specific district and can then sort through statistics in five categories at summary level - education, finance, jobs, housing, and basic demographic information. This data can be displayed, downloaded, and shared with others.

Separately, the Census Bureau has released an update to its America's Economy mobile app, by adding three new indicators: consumer price index (CPI), producer price index (PPI) and nonfarm payroll. This app allows users to view economic data from the Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Bureau of Economic Analysis in one place.
