Former Leo Burnett Exec Joins The Sound

Strategic qual consultancy The Sound Research has appointed Kelli Johnson, formerly VP, Strategy Director at Leo Burnett, as Vice President and Head of its Chicago Operations.

The Sound was established in 2007 and is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, with offices in Toronto, Chicago, New York and London. Its offering includes leading edge ethnography, online community, focus group workshops, and co-creation projects for brand, product and advertising development.

Johnson takes responsibility for expanding the Chicago office and its business, and working with a number of its key clients. Before Leo Burnett, where she helped develop advertising strategy for major brands and was also involved in insight roles, she was Associate Director of Insights and Ideas at The Energy Infuser; and she worked for CoActive Marketing Group and Northlich. She holds a BA in Visual Communications Design and Marketing from the University of Dayton.

In her new role she reports to Simon Dannatt, who comments: 'Kelli is the perfect choice to lead our Chicago team. She is expert at guiding clients to connect with people by uncovering their unique stories and finding their human voice.'
