Retail data giant Information Resources, Inc. (IRI) has named Hoyoung Pak Executive Vice President of Global Operations and Data Science.Pak (pictured) joined the company in February from Groupon where he was SVP of Operations. Prior to this he spent more than three years at Discover Financial Services as VP of Customer Service, in charge of the launch of internal process improvement function 'Discover Lean'. Earlier, he worked at McKinsey & Company, where he spent more than seven years focusing on service operations redesign and as a leader in the Retail/Operations and Supply Chain practice.
In his new role, Pak is a member of the executive team and reports to President and CEO Andrew Appel, who comments: 'Hoyoung's 20 years of experience and strong track record of leveraging creative operational strategies in highly complex environments will be critical as we work to deliver even more value to our clients. His talent for elevating the customer experience and pinpointing client growth opportunities make him an excellent fit for our executive team.'
