Transaction processing and analytics provider SourceHOV has launched a new business unit, Alpha Analytics, which will combine analysis, business intelligence and data science to help clients improve their ROI on analytics spend. Mark Pitts will lead the new division.SourceHOV, whose services are geared towards improving the quality and efficiency of client operations, employs a global workforce of more than 12,500, operating in 80 delivery centres in six countries - the US, Mexico, Canada, India, China and the Philippines.
Recently appointed SVP Pitts will lead the development and delivery of solutions for the new unit. He brings over 25 years of experience solving business problems with technology and analytics, most recently from United Healthcare, where as Director of Data Science, Solutions and Strategy he championed big data analytics and the introduction of high-performance, massively-parallel data technologies. Of the new division, he comments: 'Today, and in the future, an organization's success will be defined by how well it applies analytics. In fact, analytics-driven companies outperform their peers by a wide margin.'
CEO Ron Cogburn adds: 'We are excited to launch this high-value business unit and are thrilled to have Mark providing the executive leadership. Many companies talk about utilizing data to provide enhanced value to customers, but few can truly bring together the technologies, methodologies and talent needed to reap the rewards of the big data revolution.'
