US-based Truven Health Analytics has opened an office in Singapore, led by Sandeep Makhijani who joins as Regional Director Asia Pacific.The company, which was formerly Thomson Reuters' healthcare data, analytics and performance benchmarking arm, offers a range of solutions such as research database MarketScan, healthcare payer decision tool Advantage Suite, clinical reference Micromedex, reporting suite CareDiscovery, and hospital operating trends tool ActionOI - all combined with expert analysis.
Makhijani (pictured) joins with a sixteen-year background in the IT and healthcare sectors. Most recently he worked for IT solutions firm CSC, where he set up the Health Services Applications business in Asia; and earlier he held leadership roles at healthcare software firm Allscripts, and senior positions at SAP and IBM in India.
